What is MCT?

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides: saturated fats that are produced from hydrolyzed palm kernel oil or coconut oil. MCT products are typically presented in a liquid form. Some products may specify levels of caprylic acid and capric acid; these are not extra ingredients, but rather the exact names of the medium-chain triglycerides that are found in the oil. 

Directions for Use

Before starting any nutritional supplement program, be sure to consult with your doctor. that can be taken straight or incorporated in culinary applications including salad dressings, smoothies and protein shakes. Since this oil has a low boiling point, it is not recommended for use in frying or other high-heat cooking applications. One tablespoon taken one to three times daily is a commonly suggested serving size. Since the oil is rich in fats, it may be susceptible to rancidity and should be refrigerated after opening.
